Some of our clients have encountered a
bug when using AutoCAD 2000, 2000i and 2002 with Windows 98 trying to
plot drawings to plotter HP 1050C. This problem is resulted in the
following failures:
1.
When printing a drawing to HP 1050C plotter, the scale
of the drawing can be sometimes unwillingly changed.
2.
The drawings might be only partially printed.
3.
The cross-hatching might appear not fully filled.
The problem appears
when changing the properties of an existing “.pc3” file. Whenever
you wish to make any change to existing “.pc3” definitions, JUST
DON’T DO IT! You might damage your “.pc3” file.
The only known
assured way to change definitions successfully in a “.pc3” file is
to create a new one, based on the most updated HP 1050C driver for
Windows.

Tovna’s Technical Support department
has come out with a suggested solution for this problem.

To eliminate problems in plotting to HP
1050C, using AutoCAD 2000, 2000i or 2002 in Windows 98 environment:
1.
Shut down the AutoCAD.
2.
From your browsing software (Windows Explorer, My
Computer, etc.), reach the AutoCAD’s destination drive (e.g.,
C:\R2002). From the Plotters folder, delete all the damaged files, if
such files already exist in your computer. However, if you are not
sure about these files, don’t delete them.
3.
Launch AutoCAD.
4.
From the File menu, click Plot, then choose the Plot
Device folder. Open the Name selection list.
5.
Select the required plotter’s name without any
extension.
6.
Click the Properties button. The Properties window
appears.
7.
Set all the plotter-related configurations.
8.
Save the result as a new “.pc3” file.
All the configurations of the plotter have to be
defined within one session only. If some changes are to be entered
(for instance, changing the paper settings, etc.), repeat the
procedure of creating the “.pc3” file from the beginning.
